Can you hear my Screaming Kettle?

Being rather deaf i often dont hear my ketlle switching off and as i needed a new one , i went o currys yesterday. The manageress is a great friend (?) of mine.

Now i have this m richards kettle which changes the water to a deep blue colour and when it finshes boiling, it emits an absolutely screaming sound for  one minute. The neighbours are going mad so if i do waken you making a wee cup of tea i do apologise in advance.

Re: Can you hear my Screaming Kettle?

Hmm,
My Breville kettle starts off blue and goes to red when it boils
It does however cycle through the colours Blue-Green-Red when not in use though.
Is quiet with only the sound of boiling water as well :-)

Re: Can you hear my Screaming Kettle?

I never knew kettles were becoming lighting fixtures. I thought they were for, you know, boiling water. Huh

Re: Can you hear my Screaming Kettle?

geoffstwin: txs for info  your kettle does 3 diff colours. Are you sure its not advvertising the israeli flag
Shocked

Anyway why these colours?    the old kettle showed the water in its natural colour and i could see if there were any impurities in the kettle. Now i cant see any and i have this quite appalling screammmmmmmmming  noise.

I'm with you there Thomas but maybe we are too practically minded.
Lighting is a vital component in designing a kitchen, a room once regarded as a place for cooking but is now a social event Roll eyes

Re: Can you hear my Screaming Kettle?

Yeah but if that's the case, one or more of these would do a far better job than any fancy kettle could. Smiley

Re: Can you hear my Screaming Kettle?

latest news/scenario!!

Some well meaning but clearly insane neighbour claimed that my screaming kettle woke her up at 4am so she reported me to the council.
I had a visit from some lunatic at the counci,l who said, after many many cups of tea at my expense, that unless i had the kettle retuned id be given an asbo  how  stupid is that?
Id be in the guiness book of records as first uk man to have an asbo screaming kettle Smiley
