Camel Milk.

Coming to a supermarket near you according to the BBC Australia correspondent.

Surprised? Not really given the amount of different types of milk now on sale. With one entire aisle already given over to enough pet food to make our heads spin, half of the next aisle (and I kid you not) was stacked up with milks from organic to almond, for lactose free to fat free, and soon no doubt from camel to goat... and then squirrel milk.

We are turning into a world of sandal wearing beardies with babies in papooses - and that's just the women!

Stop the world, its nearly time to get off. Wink

I did see a story about this on C4 and apparently it's the most expensive milk there is at was it 13 times the price of cows.

Re: Camel Milk.

Ah yes cows milk - wasn't there some issue recently about likes of Tesco keeping prices down and underpaying farmers. Been sort of resolved now I think.

As for camels milk, I can't even abide goats milk and they are easier to catch.

How does an Arab conduct foreplay with a goat? - No, I'd better not answer that one. Wink

@Minivanman

I think you have provided some very useful information about some of the types of milk available in local shops, the info will be helpful to at least one udder member who now has a choice of obtaining milk that does not come from animals.

Re: Camel Milk.

By milk I think you might mean 'milk', which of course it isn't.  Wink

Milk is a nutrient-rich, white liquid food produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals before they are able to digest other types of food. Wikipedia

Wikipedia is of course correct but it is not uncommon to hear people talk of Soya or Almond milk.

So if you had some problem with milk from a animal these would be a alternative.
