Re: California is on high alert

They'll be fine, it's only a DM hype article, along with the "Worst winter on record will start in 6 weeks" hype... Grin

Re: California is on high alert

@twocvbloke  A couple of days ago, I was actually reading a paper version of the Daily Mail, whilst waiting for my food in a cafe... and it reported that Britain was on the verge of an "Indian Summer".. ( some time this month).... after a " scorching September">>>    GrinGrinGrinGrin

Re: California is on high alert

I've read from reputable meteorological experts that due to "La Nina" (apparently the opposite of El Nino), autumn this year *may* be unusually warm (as in, temperatures in the high teens), and the following winter may be colder than it has been the past couple of years, certainly no "Indian summers" or "Worst winter on record coming in six weeks time!!!!" like some media outlets would have the lesser intelligent believe... Funny

Re: California is on high alert

I remember the Daily Mail when it was nothing more than an old fashioned, ever-so slightly Tory rag.

Hard to tell what it is nowadays - not Tory, not old-fashioned, what does that leave? Undecided  Wink

Re: California is on high alert

Not bad - although the site contains a lot of out of date stuff.

In the Corbyn / McDonnell world the Socialist Worker probably counts as an unpleasant right-wing rag Tongue

That wouldn't make sense, the SWP is a revolutionary socialist party whilst the Labour party is a parliamentary socialist party.

Re: California is on high alert

Private Eye floats my boat, and takes the 'you know what' out of the Left, Right and Centre into the bargain. As for the Daily Mail the less said the better - I'd not even wrap my chips in it..... and that's being polite.

I know where I am, I've been lost here before.
