Re: CH5HD cancelled again

On the positive side, the other Five channels (5*, 5 USA) have finally appeared on Freesat.
It's a shame that they (along with the HD channels) insist on overlaying their logo in the corner of the screen. I know what channel I'm on, and if I wanted to record it and sell illegal DVD and Blu-rays at the car boot, I can think of easier ways of going about it than recording from the TV, stripping out adverts and re-encoding the AAC audio (in the case of Freeview HD).

Agreed and the +1s are also there and not on Freeview.

I assume they decided the cost wasn't worth it. Undecided

Re: CH5HD cancelled again

As I've said before, we mainly use Freesat and the +1s have actually reduced the need to record, which we do using Freeview.

Re: CH5HD cancelled again

When the switchover is finished from analogue to Digital I would think there may some more channels coming.
