Burt Weedon RIP

Sad eh! gone to that great jam session in the sky.
Here's one guitar player who didn't learn from his "Play in a day" books. I first came across Burt Weedon on television with his tea-time children's "teaching shows" and later around the time he recorded "Riders in the sky"
Among the players I used to circulate in he was regarded as something of a one string melody line playing joke. It wasn't until much later in my life I came to realise he was a much better guitarist than he is often given credit for. And at this time I'm mildly ashamed of my previous attitude to him, and even own one of his CD's.
Rest in peace Burt you inspired a generation of guitarists.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.
