British weather at it's best (or is that worst)

Had a fair amount of sunshine today then about 10 minutes ago had a huge downpour including some of the largest hailstones I've seen. Lots of thunder and lightening (took out the electrics for around a second but not sure if just us or the whole area) now the sun is shining again, the birds are singing and it's as if it never happened.
Oh to be in England  Cheesy
One good side effect is the router has rebooted at it's highest for a long time- almost 6000 Cheesy

Re: British weather at it's best (or is that worst)

Nothing about our weather surprises me, I can remember it snowing in Easter in Sheffield (in April) about 18 years ago...of course we also had the flood in the height of summer in 2007 too...

Glad you said that as I've been trying to convince SWMBO that it can and has snowed at Easter Cheesy

Wasn't too bad while out walking yesterday - intermittent drizzle and heavy showers - but al least we saw the Opium poppy fields in Hampshire

It can and has, snowed in June. In central London a few years ago.  Shocked
It settled quite thickly on the patio of our basement flat near Baker Street.  Crazy

Oh yes Wimledon, always seems to rain then..still at least the payment for the roof was worth it. No hail here but it did come down in the bucket load
