Bottled Air Only £80.00

I cannot believe some people, no not the ones selling it but the ones buying it. Still in a polluted China would you buy a bottle?

Re: Bottled Air Only £80.00

Shows how easy it is to make money if you come up with the right idea, not long ago someone came up with the idea of importing ice from glaciers to put in drinks, the mark up was massive both to the resturant and finally the customer.
Money has even been made from selling used knickers...... so with a bit of thought it should not be difficult to come up with some daft idea which could make you a fortune...... so who want's to put the first idea forward......

Re: Bottled Air Only £80.00

how about some bright spark starts up an ISP that offers 40/10 and 80/20 AND has quick reliable customer support?

Re: Bottled Air Only £80.00

who?
after reading up more about Origin, it appears their CS is just as bad, and they just resell plusnet anyway.

Re: Bottled Air Only £80.00

pulse8 appear to have 3 levels of service they provide, each one slightly more expensive claiming to give higher priority than the previous one.
so unless you pay for the top tier you are, one would assume, getting throttled in one way or another.
also, they don't offer FTTC without taking line rental, whereas plusnet do.
but to compare the ADSL broadband only prices.. plusnet is £12.49pm and pulse8 is £19 or £20pm - far more expensive on a direct comparison

Re: Bottled Air Only £80.00

Except their line rental is much cheaper and you don't need anytime calls as the call charges are minuscule
For ADSL their total is £25 whereas Plusnet is £26.98
Note that even at the higher level of service (which I don't understand) it is only £1 per month more
What is the point of saying that they don't offer fibre without line rental given that you have to buy it from someone

Re: Bottled Air Only £80.00

because i'm comparing like for like.
i don't take line rental from plusnet, so a like for like comparison is the "broadband only" package, that's where you see what each are charging for simply broadband.
i don't understand their tiered product either, but they are clearly prioritising some users of others - i wouldn't touch an ISP that has such a system.
