Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson has announced he will stand for Parliament. There is a vacancy in Uxbridge which is a safe seat. Maybe he will have his eye on this one.

Re: Boris Johnson

What else could he say really Undecided
Boris could be an election winner for the Tories. It will be interesting to see the opinion polls at the weekend.

Re: Boris Johnson

He's a massive leadership threat to Cameron and I would expect he will lead the party in the next 5 years.
Boris is popular with everyone, from all walks of life. This isn't something you can say about many Tories.

Re: Boris Johnson

Obviously if Cameron wins the 2015 election he will remain as PM. I would imagine he would serve maybe 3-4 years and then step down. This will open the door for Boris and give him time to establish himself in time for the 2020 election.
If Cameron loses the election he will step down, or be forced to step down, immediately and Boris would be elected leader with 5 years to prepare for the next Conservative government.

Re: Boris Johnson

At least Boris wouldn't be able to implement his silly vanity schemes on the people of London.

Re: Boris Johnson

Dare I say it
He is from America, NOT Great Britain
[quote= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Johnson]Born in New York City, Johnson was educated at the European School of Brussels, Ashdown House School, Eton College, and Balliol College, Oxford, where he read Classics. Beginning his career in journalism with The Times and then The Daily Telegraph, he became Assistant Editor from 1994 to 1999 before taking editorship of The Spectator, a position he held until 2005. Joining the Conservatives, he was elected MP for Henley in 2001. During his period in the House of Commons, Johnson became one of the most conspicuous politicians in the country, authoring books and making regular television appearances. Under Conservative leaders Michael Howard and David Cameron, Johnson served on the opposition front bench, first as Shadow Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries and then for Higher Education.
Therefore he will no doubt help Cameron mess the country up even more

He attended primary school in Europe and may also have had nursery education there as well. hardly time be be raised in NY. Even if he was raised in NY why should that  be detrimental in any way?
