Bob's Avatar

Didn't think it would be long TBH, but judging by the posts here and here it looks as if my new avatar is already causing some waves!
So what should I change it to? Or should I change it at all?Huh
Discuss! Grin

Re: Bob's Avatar

Oh, is that little picture under your name called an avatar?
Please see other thread about language being used that is understandable to all - especially those of us who are not technically minded!
[And the one Orbrey has used today is dreadful - bring his original back.]

Re: Bob's Avatar

Yeah, I think it comes from the fact that as Gods appeared through an avatar on earth, so we appear in the Internet via our own Avatar
(remember that the internet was created by nerds, many of whom were nothing in the real world and therefore mastery of a digital realm was quite a satisfying thing - in my experience a lot of technical terms suddenly make a lot more sense when you bear this fact in mind)
