It's been mentioned before, but it would be helpful if the poster's name & the posting datestamp appeared at the head of the post rather than at the bottom. It's not normally needed, because most blogs are the work of an individual, but each of the Plusnet blogs are generally posted to by several different team members.

Was going to start a blog , but it's a minefield out there. Do I go for a paid host?..or a free one? If I go with a paid one, will I be hit with sneaky hidden other charges etc. Must admit though, I could do with one.
Growing old is inevitable...But growing up is optional.

Not wishing to sound critical but until you mentioned 'blogs' I hadn't even noticed them. I did just look at the first page but wasn't really struck by anything. I never win competitions which is why I don't bother doing them anymore. As for all that corporate stuff it's probably not so interesting. Besides I'm having far too much fun in the 'General Chat' section, it's hoot!
If you wanted constructive feedback might I suggest an online survey with a chance of winning a prize? At least those people that do take part can share their ideas. I was going to make other suggestions but then I realised all that information is already available in the help & support section. I suppose it depends really on whether you want the blogs to be tailored around the Plusnet experience or off topic subjects. Would people even bother to read them when we have the world at our finger tips anyway? It's a tricky one for sure....

@Kelly - I don’t read the Blogs myself, but I’ve just had a quick look and nothing there that interests me. If you’re asking because you’re thinking of removing them I don’t think you’ll get much resistance. No doubt some users will miss them but for the majority, I really don’t think they’d be missed.
However, if you’re after ideas for content then I think you need to remember that this is a support forum, so maybe guides on how to set up the Plusnet routers for Gaming, Cameras, etc. How to configure various email clients on Linux (generic), Mac and Windows. Have a trawl through the items on the Forum marked as Fixed to see if anything can be used and turned in to a Blog entry. Maybe even reviews of interesting products like Amazon's Echo and Echo Dot.
The content that’s there to me at least, has no appeal whatsoever, people come to this forum for support so I think that is what the content should focus on.

I agree with @Anonymous the Blog is not much use , the staff time spent there could be better used here or on the phones
samsung 850evo 250gig , WD black 2 TB . Asus Phoebus sound ,
16 gig Avexir ram 2400 , water cooling Corsair H100i gtx ,
Corsair 750HXI Psu , Phanteks Enthoo pro case .

@Pete11 If you want to start a personal blog... you can do it for free and hosted for free with Google Blogger..
https://www.blogger.com/about/?r=1-null_user
I run two blogs and they are read all over the world... there are "stats" that you can keep an eye on, to see which threads are interesting to which country .... number of views.. etc etc..
#There is also the chance of earning a few shekels with Google ads .... If your blog has some kind of "commercial" content...e.g. the best tin openener ever.. you may be able to source some advertising/funding... as they say.. the world is your oyster.
Basically, mine are "personal" and diary type blogs... I just add things when I feel like it... and not really into the cashcow side of it at all. One blog, that is basically a "help blog" for a program that I use... I started in August last year and has had over 3,250 views to date...
The other one I started 8 years ago has had over 31,000 page views to date..

@Kelly @Mook,
Tha'ts basically what I was saying but I noticed most of that information is buried in the Help & Support section which is why I didn't suggest it.
How about this idea? Do away with the 'Blog' section and rename it 'Sale Adds', users here could offer things for sale to other members. Plusnet need play no part in it except allowing the advert to be posted.
Just an idea anyway, whether it would work in practice I don't know.

@MKSlinky There used to be a For Sale/Wanted board, many years ago.... but it was rarely used... and got archived, with the excuse that we can use the General Chat board to advertise stuff for sale/wanted if needed...

I think looking at the list of names here answers the question really, there's only a handful of regular visitors on the Plusnet forums. Other customers come to find answers and leave pretty quickly afterwards so blogs are probably not high on many peoples agendas.
