Black Holes

Not sure if I am correct about this but I understand that every galaxy has a black hole in the centre of it's galaxy.

So are we moving away from or towards the one in our galaxy ?

Re: Black Holes

Towards it but very slowly. So slowly in fact that our own star (the sun) will have burnt out, super nova 'd and turned into black hole itself long before and by the time that happens billions of years will have passed and all our bones will be dust anyway.

In theory at least based on current understandings of the universe.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: Black Holes

We probably all go into a black hole, only to come out the other side and end up back here in billions of years time. Or maybe its the other way around. Life is just one big repeat! :cheesy:

What I'd really like to know though is what is on the other side of the universe.

Ever helpful. Sure, I’d love to help you out. Now which way did you come in?

As Eric Morecambe used to say, "There's no answer to that".

Or perhaps the answer is Bizarro World.

Re: Black Holes

After many complaints and countless denials, County Councils have now conceded that there really is a giant pot hole in the centre of a galaxy far far away. Workmen now loading truck with fifty billion squillion tons of asphalt and expect to arrive perhaps never, but certainly not before next week.

Re: Black Holes

I think there is another word we need to add to the censored list and it begins with B
