epidural is just for pain relief.
I assume naturally means a normal vaginal birth rather than a ceasarian.

The doctor in charge of this birth was lucky as this could have ended badly.
The birth should have been by cesarian not just because of the size but by the pelvic girdle limitation (I think that's it).
As the article says there was a dodgy moment as the babies shoulders got stuck.
