Bernie Ecclestone

How ironic that he has been able to pay his way out of the criminal proceedings for bribery - http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/3e95f41a-1c7f-11e4-88c3-00144feabdc0.html#axzz39YHc4jn5

Re: Bernie Ecclestone

It's not that ironic.
For example, bankers rip off everybody, living playboy lifestyles and are untouchable scum, despite destroying the worlds economy and the lives of millions of people.
The mega rich, who are about as in touch with reality as the queen, just chuck a few quid here and there and everything is sorted.

Re: Bernie Ecclestone

I thought this bit was comical:
Quote
Asked by Judge Peter Noll if he could raise the $100m, Mr Ecclestone replied "yes". When asked if the payment could be made within a week, his defence lawyer, Sven Thomas, said: "That's do-able."

If you copy n paste the URL into google search then click through from the results you'll avoid the paywall, opening links in an incognito window, or doing a headline search usually works too...

What is that supposed to mean?
What the hell is wrong with you?
Following me from thread to thread to make pathetic comments.
I've reported you a dozen times, yet you are still here doing it.
I'm reporting you again, but I wont hold my breath because the sun obviously shines from your proverbial, where as me, I will get another warning and probably banned... but you know what, who cares.

@DaveyH
I prefer a posted link to work & not have to attempt to avoid anyone's paywall

Re: Bernie Ecclestone

The FT were doing this thing where you could answer 10 survey questions (multiple choice) and get free access to the site for a day or two. I thought this was quite innovative for those who did not want to pay for a subscription.

Re: Bernie Ecclestone

@ TORPC thank you.
I did not, and NEVER EVER would I state any of the sort.
I have made 1 post, stating how certain people in society are treated more equally than others...  a bit like this forum at the moment.

Re: Bernie Ecclestone

I read that Bernie was asked for £100 million and offered $100 million and it was accepted!

What I heard was the Germans wanted a headline round number and they suggested €100 million and Bernie came back with $100 million. A saving of £20 million
