Barry Norman Dies

Film Critic Barry Norman has died aged 83.

Without a doubt the best film critic on TV and also in print. Only Michael Parkinson came close.

Sad loss, but for me the best TV critic in print was Clive James and who thankfully, is still with us.

Sad loss and the best film critic on TV. Used to look forward to his top list and reviews of Christmas films in the Radio Times.

 

He conducted some of the most interesting interviews. Excellent with Anthony Hopkins.

 

His views frequently matched mine - "And why not".
