Barbara Windsor.

Sad to read that she has been suffering from Alzheimer's for some time now and that it's getting progressively worse.

The old girl has led an interesting life that's for sure and I well remember her appearance in Sparrows Can't Sing - a real 60s classic. Made a splash as the 'get outta of my pub' landlady of the Rovers Return of course, but to me she was always so much more before that.

Chin up Babs.

Rovers Return? Did the Queen Vic have a change of name?

Re: Barbara Windsor.

We'd have had more 'bangs for our boobs' if Hattie Jacques had volunteered for that scene.... or maybe she did. Wink

Re: Barbara Windsor.

Sad when anyone has dementia - but, possibly harder for the family as it progresses.

I never rated her much as an actress particulary in Eastenders where she was nothing like the original Peggy Mitchell, although she was about right for the Carry Ons. She certainly has had a colourful life, though.

Re: Barbara Windsor.

@Mav

No Julie Walters or Judi Dench certainly, but she had her niche.

And colourful? Oh yes. Cool smiley
