Bank Problems

Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the
run on HBOS in the UK uncertainty has now hit Japan .
In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up
and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.
Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will
likely go for a song, while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after
they nose-dived.
While Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank
is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.
Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report
that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that
staff may get a raw deal.

Re: Bank Problems

The bigger they are the harder they fall as they say.
Banks have become far to big and powerful. They've tried to lend people as much cash as possible in order to suck the economies dry of money and now that people are finding it hard to find money to pay off banks the fat cats have come unstuck.
When will people realize that there is not a limitless supply of money? The more people you take money from, the more money you take and the more reliant you become on it the more certain you can be of financial collapse.
Frankly they've only got themselves to blame. If you're having trouble keeping up payments on a mortgage the banks are the first to take everything you own and send in the bailiffs to make life miserable. Now I only hope that they have a taste f their own medicine. Perhaps they'll learn what its like not to have the funds available.
I do feel sorry for those who will loose their jobs and those savers who may loose their life savings (despite the fact most of us these days are milked so heavily of cash to survive we can't even save a tenner per week) but in all honesty I see the lack of credit for us all as a good thing.
Credit is the root of all problems. Look at the mess it has got us into. We can do without it.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!
