Baked beans

I just had baked beans and pork cooked according to my secret recipe. Yum, I'll never touch Heinz again. I wonder why people allowed themselves to be beguiled by the convenience foods.

Re: Baked beans

I chuck a splash of Worcester Sauce and a few drops of Scotch Bonnet pepper sauce in boggo supermarket baked beans and that makes them quite tolerable (until next day !)

Re: Baked beans

I also have my own secret recipe that I have when eating baked beans and it will really shock quite a few of you!
Baked beans = Wind.. right?
Well here's a tale for you.. moons ago I was in such a financial pickle that I was surviving on cheap tins of beans from LIDL - something like 10p a tin back then. Anyway .. the flavour became very boring so I decided i needed to try and add a little variety to it. Now what on earth can you do with beans? - I know some people have cheese but I'm not keen on cheese myself.
So I tried something else to give my beans a bit of a twang: Vinegar.
Yes, you read that right, I mix vinegar into my beans (after they've been cooked - no idea how that would work before cooking). Guess what? I don't lift the roof  Wink
So.. there you go. Don't say I never give you anything as I've just solved a few members problems Wink
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!
