BT home WiFi

Cheesy  A new firmware on BT whole home WiFi has borked some systems http://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/03/26/bt_whole_home_wi_fi_issues/

As Usual they say it has affected a few Customers ? why do they all say that when something goes wrong ?

A firmware update surely affects any hardware that downloads it , why make excuses

But they do say “There is no definitive answer on timescales at this stage but it will not be in days.”

Re: BT home WiFi

I have a BT router (the Barbie pink Plusnet one did not turn up on time!).

Do I need to do anything?

I know where I am, I've been lost here before.

Re: BT home WiFi

@Minivanman No, the problem is with a different product, not the HH router

Re: BT home WiFi

BT router ≠ BT Home WiFi.
I must have been really bad in a previous life as this was my 3rd ISP in a row that used lithium.
Now you're stuck with me because my new ISP doesn't run a forum Cheesy

You should disconnect from the internet immediately, and not reconnect by any means whatsoever until you receive an email telling you it is safe to do so.
