Does that give directions to the next exchange, and include the mileage, so I can plan my next visit?  Cheesy

How about a better notice when a post is deleted

Re: BT Exchange Robbed!

Whilst I'm sure that Roger will post here when he's finished with his task, I'll just point out that the post moved to storage contained potentially sensitive information.
Also, the process of moderation unfortunately isn't instant.  There are procedures that are followed which does take up a little time.  I think a 15-20 minute delay for discussing with other mods, removing the post, noting upon the removed post the reason for removal, composing a PM to the original author to notify them, and then posting a notification in the thread is more than reasonable?

Re: BT Exchange Robbed!

Just to echo on Barrys' post
A post linking to potentially sensitive information was removed,
It takes me a few minutes to move posts / write PM's and follow procedure, so apologies for the untimely response to this thead.
that is all Smiley

Re: BT Exchange Robbed!

Obviously I was not being clear - it wasn't my post which was removed.
I was not objecting to or even commenting on the fact that a post was removed.
I understand that a post is not deleted but is transferred to a hidden part of the forum.
My point was that the act of doing that should not automatically create an email notification as quoted above.
Now changing this may well be impossible but perhaps an option could be made available to the mods to stop automatic notification of such a change.

Re: BT Exchange Robbed!

Aha, I see your point.
Hmm..
We use the standard thread-splitting tools at our disposal to 'move' threads out, but I shall investigate as to whether we can notify 'selectively' so to speak.

Re: BT Exchange Robbed!

I`m totally confused..... which thread  has been split? Huh
I don`t see any notifications on this part of the forum, regarding the " BT Exchange Robbed" thread being split.... Undecided
If it refers to another thread, why is the discussion on this one?  Isn`t that "cross threading"  ?

Re: BT Exchange Robbed!

This is the thread being referred to but it has not been split, but a post has been removed
I also got the topic split email that Oldjim is referring to.
