Quote
People attending were advised to take the park and ride because of a lack of parking spaces at the venue.

I wanted to attend, but they had no stables for my "pony".

Re: BBC dont understand the meaning of unnamed

I think the term 'Park and Ride' takes on a whole new meaning Grin
Still, each to their own I always say. Undecided

Re: BBC dont understand the meaning of unnamed

"BBC dont understand the meaning of unnamed"?
"Adverts were published for an event... at an unnamed south Cambridgeshire venue."
I don't see any error by the BBC on this occasion. The article says that the adverts did not name the venue not that that the BBC was going to leave the venue unnamed.

Trumpington's always been a dodgy place to tether your pony, if The Reeve's Tale is anything to go by.

So the venue had no name?

Re: BBC dont understand the meaning of unnamed

Hmm...I suppose you could argue that the BBC didn't name the venue...but they do say in the next sentence that "the trustees of trumpington village hall...."
Hardly a leap of logic for anyone eh...except maybe the BBC who are pretty good at wearing 'blinkers'.
