BBC apparently modifying Obama's speech

As part of my wanderings through the internet I came across a link to this http://ccgi.newbery1.plus.com/blog/?p=147 which shows how Newsnight patched together two parts of Obama's speech to change the emphasis

I saw that too, disappointing from the BBC. I think I am going to complain to them about this Angry

Here's a vid of the speech (you'll need to scroll down a bit)

Re: BBC apparently modifying Obama's speech

Looking at the Susan Watts vid, several times, I can see where Harmless Sky are coming from, but, I think it's a case of cock-up rather than conspiracy.
If she'd said "These are three of Obama's main points", and there had been a few seconds silence between them, they would have come across as three distinct 'soundbites', as the modern vernacular would have it.
In the event, through rushed or incompetent editing, there were gaps, but small enough to make it sound like it was all one sentence.
If the BBC really intended the bias they're being accused of, the editing/splicing would surely have been slicker.

I see the BBC’s magazine Monitor talks of
… the week’s news, sliced, diced and processed for your convenience.
So there you have it.

Re: BBC apparently modifying Obama's speech

Like I say, compare news from several sources and make up your own mind, I'm of the opinion that every organisatiom will put its own spin on issues and the Beeb is when all is said and done, really a state broadcaster isn't it?
