Re: BBC News website

Not keen on the new fonts and colours; I thought the old ones were clearer.
Also don't like it wider....

Re: BBC News website

I used to like "where you live" as I  could bring up map and see what's happening here, where daughter lives, Kent if heading for France etc.
Haven't spotted that facility, as yet on new site.
Edit - found it if go into weather

Re: BBC News website

Latest news is much less obvious - not a good idea

Re: BBC News website

The font is much bigger and thus takes up much more room on the page.
Also they now have 2 large banner areas at the top meaning less room for actual content for those running 800x600.
I preferred the compact style they had, its too wide and too much wasted space everywhere now!

Re: BBC News website

In terms of aesthetics, I like the new look site... but I don't necessarily find it too practical. The big problem for me is all of the space everywhere in things like lists of articles - it makes it look like nothing quite fits together properly, and it actually makes it take longer for me to take in all the information because it's further apart.

Re: BBC News website

I tried reducing the font size and thought it looked better.
I thought making better use of the available screen area was long overdue - just spreading things out more is not better use!

Re: BBC News website

They've change the look and feel of all of the BBC web sites.  Have a look at bbc.co.uk for example.

Re: BBC News website

They have been gradually changing the front page for several days, I was trying to get a BBC  Listing on Saturday but could not find a link to it anywhere, had to do several searches.
Now Monday, they have a link at the bottom, and on the link page a calender for what day you are trying to find, much more user friendly
