Re: BARGAIN OF THE YEAR..throw razors 13p!

Gotta be honest I kinda like Tesco razors too. I bought their shaving razor with disposable heads several times and it's always been very good.
I then tried the sainsburys version... OUCH! I won't touch that again - very rough, kept cutting me etc oh and it cost MORE than the Tesco version.

Re: BARGAIN OF THE YEAR..throw razors 13p!

Never used `em.... !
I use a phillishave 3 rotary head shaver...(rechargable) . had it about 10 years, cost about £50 , never had any problem with it... £5 per year.... divide by 365.... about 1.37p per day.... !...
Oh and I accidentally dropped it in the bath, whilst using it.... (not plugged into mains)... and it was still running under water.... got it out... shook out some water.... left it 24 hours on the radiator, and it still works as good as new !.. Yes.... it still recharges ok, too ! !

I don't think you have factored in the recharging costs.

I don't kdoug007 factored in the shaving foam cost either Wink

Think I will stick with the Aldi triple blades (5 per pack) True the  cost just over £2 per pack but give an excellent shave and last a fair while  Smiley

Recharge once a week...... say 25p?
Hot water and water rates also not factored into the "wet shave".....  Undecided

Has anybody factored in the time costs? Cheesy

I once grew a beard but the moustache looked ridiculous, more like an overgrown scrubbing brush, so off it came.

Re: BARGAIN OF THE YEAR..throw razors 13p!

Just before Christmas I bought a promotional pack of 20 Gillette Mach 3 blades with razor for £20.
As I only shave around once every 7 days or so (sometimes even less) and get around 4 shaves a blade they should last well into the second half of 2014 Cheesy
I estimate that's around 38p a shave including hot water and gel.

Re: BARGAIN OF THE YEAR..throw razors 13p!

Heh, I don't even use razors often to be honest. I'm skint and can't really afford them so I go with the stubble look instead. My electric shaver is knackered but the sideburn trimmer isn't.. use that all over your face / neck and it cuts everything to stubble length (and even thats once a week at the most).
