Re: As quiet as a mouse!

I don't think that the fact it was a squirrel was "off topic" as that possibility had been discussed in replies #43 and #44, and the video of the squirrel was made to discover out how the rat trap kept being defeated.
I accept that the other content on the web page was probably unacceptable - hence the warning notice and subsequent moderation - fair enough !
What I don't know is whether a video of a squirrel being temporarily stunned by a bang on the head is considered too poor taste to re-link to by another means (but without the associated porn images), so at this time I won't bother.

Re: As quiet as a mouse!

Strange this thread has come back as only two nights ago I thought I heard another mouse but upstairs. It did sound like very small clawed feet scratching as they walked across the carpet. But then again, it was early hours of the morning with wind and rain which made it harder to 'tune in'.
SQMBO said that a bag of apples in the kitchen had been gnawed through but other than that we haven't seen any other signs.
We've laid a the traps and poison again and will see what happens.

Re: As quiet as a mouse!

If all else fails you might like to consider the following,
The Pied Piper of Hamelin (German: Rattenfänger von Hameln) is the subject of a legend concerning the departure or death of a great many children from the town of Hamelin (Hameln), Lower Saxony, Germany, in the Middle Ages. The earliest references describe a piper, dressed in pied (multicolored) clothing, leading the children away from the town never to return. In the 16th century the story was expanded into a full narrative, in which the piper is a rat-catcher hired by the town to lure rats away with his magic pipe
