Are we Plusnet or BT customers?

The latest ofcom recommendations:

"Ofcom, the UK telecoms regulator, has proposed that 80% of phone and broadband faults should be repaired within two working days and 80% of customers waiting for a new line should be assigned an appointment within 12 working days."
I'm wondering, as we are customers of PN, are BT going to prioritise THEIR customers over us, in an effort to comply? To be honest, who would blame them, as to duo otherwise would be economic suicide!

Re: Are we Plusnet or BT customers?

Given that PN (and most other ISPs apart from Virgin .. and any that use satellite, maybe) are BT customers, does it make any difference?

It makes a great deal of difference if people start migrating to BT because the service with other ISP's has degenerated.
The point I'm trying too make is..Are we, the end user the BT customers, our ar Plusnet the customer?
If Plusnet, do the same targets apply to US (not Plusnet)?

Re: Are we Plusnet or BT customers?

The rules apply to OpenReach and therefore will apply equally to all end users of companies using OpenReach services. E.g. BT Retail, Sky, Talk Talk, Plusnet... Pretty much everyone connected via a land phone line except Virgin cable customers and Hull.

Re: Are we Plusnet or BT customers?

it should be but it depends on the service agreement the Telco has with BTOR, and lets face it BTOR couldn't comply with that new level of service even if they wanted to, they don't have the resources to be able to do it....
