I seems Apple have lost the plot. Professional users complain that they can't plug in their peripherals

Also a lot of complaints when they ditched the headphone port from the iPhone.

People "may" like, apple products.... but surely they would be "savvy enough" to check what size and shape the holes are in the side... to make sure that they can still connect their "legacy" products...
Apple is really "stuffing" its customers in a most "ingenious" way... by removing the "standard" connection holes, and promoting their own "standard" connectors ... thereby increasing their profit from the "new" connecting cables required to continue to use their product...

Considering the number that fell for the "drill your own headphone jack hole" maybe savvy enough means something different on the apple platform.

It was mentioned in the press that apple had developed an app that would stop the phone from being used if it was moving above a certain speed (using gps tracking).
If that is true it's a pity they have not made it available as lives would be saved.

since the app has to be capable of being disabled if you were a passenger in the car or a coach or a train then it must come under the heading of "not much use"
