Any ideas

Whilst I cannot be certain  it appears that at least 90 percent or more of posts on the whole PN site are from Men, excluding PN staff,
Any ideas of why this might be ?
If you are brave you could ask your other half but I accept no responsibility for the outcome

I should have thought that the answer was obvious  Grin

To clarify - I am talking about this board as a fair number of posters on the help boards are probably ladies but they just don't advertise the fact

Forum Membership Male to Female Ratio: 10.1:1
Does that mean that somewhere there's 0.1 of a man posting Undecided

Re: Any ideas

But not everyone states their sex so I suppose 10.1:1 is best guess based on known data.

Re: Any ideas

For fear of starting a war , I think it's because women's brains are wired up all differently.
A true example...I'm on the laptop tapping away..
"What ARE you doing?"
"I'm replying to something on the forum"
"Why can't you do the important things?"
"Such as.....?"
"We've got all these programmes recorded, we can watch them"
However, as soon as something needs repairing it's
"What are you doing"
"Googling it to see if there's an answer"
"Try that forum, they're always helpful"
At this point I usually get something thrown at me as I roll my eyes. Roll eyes

Re: Any ideas

Following our move to Adair Towers in Derbyshire we've changed from having one PC each to a shared desktop PC. Woe betide me should I spend too long on here reading the PlusNet forum when the Otherarf wants to browse the web. I'd say 60:40 is a fair representation of usage in this house.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

And it's always the same men as well. There is a clique of about ten people I would say.

Re: Any ideas

Must admit, compared to one other forum I used to contribute to (the OLD Tiscali/TT), there is a marked imbalance on here, but  on our local very active city forum, the ratio is much closer - except on the 'Computer & Tech Chat' section. Huh
