Another search for a star?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8250256.stm
Having found Maria, Nancy and Joseph they are looking beyond rainbow to find Dorothy and Toto!
Do not think I will enter Holly for Toto - would not want her to get stage struck! Grin Grin

Wonder what musical they will revive next?

Indeed - if he knew what little devils Cairn Terriers are he might have gone away and waited until the feeling to do another musical wore off!
Good luck to him, that's all I have to say.  Wink

Re: Another search for a star?

Well, I wonder how much we are paying him, to stage this contest on our televisions, so that he can save money on hiring a theatre to do his talent scouting, (and the TV production costs involved)  and then..............
make even more money from the production itself...... to say nothing of the "pre launch" FREE advertising of his show on BBC, which of course, shuns advertising, and "placements" ...
Very Clever.....  Huh

But Poppy - do you think he will realise it has to be a Cairn terrier?  They will probably get a placid labrador!

Re: Another search for a star?

This was announced a year ago and I thought that the idea had been dropped.

I thought it unlike the BBC to drop a bad idea.

Re: Another search for a star?

The Dutch TV station version of "search for Maria" had some well planned publicity stunts

;
was amusing.

Re: Another search for a star?

He's been banned from mentioning his new show on the BBC which hasn't pleased him.  Rumour is that he wants to move to ITV.
