Boris is on the case, my main question would be why was this nutter only sentenced to 40 months in the first place,
He was only convicted of possession and distribution of extremist material so 40 months may have been right.
Something must have been spotted in jail for him to have been kept under watch after his release.
Full credit to our Police and Security services for the way they handled the incident.

You may think 40 months 'may have been right' (I don't) but he only served half of that and was released as the law demands and there was nothing the police or anybody else do about it, and there's the rub.
Full credit to our police as you say, but what a rotten job having to follow these jihadists turds around after they have been released early.

OK, how about Whitley Bay in January then?
@TeeGee, I did look up phobia in the complete Oxford English Dictionary, and it says something along the lines of "a fear, often irrational ..." so it can be used about any fear nowadays it seems.

Only possessing and distributing extremist material huh, just encouraging others to kill infidels huh, well that's OK then - we were obviously too hard on this poor victim and even 20 months was too much. It is just a waste of police and security services time to have to track these fundamentalists down, far easier to keep tabs on them when under lock and key, and it leaves the security and police more time to track down others of a similar ilk... because there are plenty out there who flee religious and ethnic persecution to come here and who accept the peace and prosperity in this country but feel agrieved enough that this country is not 'islamic enough' to put religion ahead of this and kill their hosts... words fail me, but I would say the only good terrorist is a dead one....

Britain has such a wide open door policy that all sorts of religious malcontents are allowed in and yes, it is difficult to sift them out but there has to be a better way than letting in those that not only work against the state, but then go on to sow the seeds of an ideology and religion that is at complete odds to our own.
Like letting in Japanese knot weed and Himalayan balsam, it takes root and becomes almost impossible to eradicate.

I am saddened to see this turned into a rant about immigration. Sudesh Amman was not an immigrant; he was born in Harrow, and linking immigrants with notions of them being ‘impossible to eradicate’ is simply stirring up the sort of fear and hatred which leads to the sort of genocidal ethnic cleansing the world has seen far to often in the relatively recent past.
I also question @Minivanman‘s rather strange claim that there’s is a religion ‘at complete odds to our own’. In Great Britain we subscribe to a range of different religions and none. Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and many others besides are as much ‘our’ religion as Christianity.
If we are to move forward in dealing with the threat of terrorism, we need to work together, not spread fear and hatred and division.

I blame the Liberals, I would ban them from wearing rose tinted glasses for a start, then they may see that there are in fact quite a few bad people in the world, who should stay in the place where religion is causing death and destruction and sort their problems out at home rather than bring their religion here... and why do we let them ? Cultural sucide springs to mind, our cultural immune systen no longer functions as it should.

We try to avoid getting too controversial here but I cannot allow your comments to go unchallenged.
Being born here may make you British by birth but where your culture is your overriding decider it is of little or no relevance.
Our governments have made big mistakes in both failing to control immigration and failing to ensure that integration is a necessity rather than bowing down to the libertal left culture of equality and diversity above all other considerations.
The public sector secret society, Common Purpose, together with academia and the BBC also have much to answer for.

Totally agree. we've all seen examples of this in our local neighbourhoods.

So this jihadist was released a week ago and was being tailed by up to 22 undercover officers. Doesn't this say something about how wrong it was to release this individual?
There is a story on the news saying that holding up the release of terrorists is likely to be against the law. Simple, change the law tho deal with it then? So long as we don't go all soft like we did with the IRA and pardon them at a later date with no threat of future prosecution!

A shame you don't follow that mantra in other matters, e.g. ...
If we are to move forward in dealing with the threat of terrorism EU, we need to work together, not spread fear and hatred and division.

If he was born in the UK as has been stated how would you have dealt with him?
