Re: Another challenge

19567 on my first go. Sad I was pretty good at the subject of Geography in school, but perhaps at least partly because I rarely travel abroad (I've only been further than Paris once), my knowledge of where random places is is pretty poor.

Re: Another challenge

I was pretty surprised by my score as I was not good at geography. I've only been abroad three times in my life: Sri Lanka and America twice (all three trips business) which didn't exactly help with this game!

Re: Another challenge

Maybe you don't get abroad much but when you do you don't stay local do you Crazy
I played again and got a lower score Embarrassed
When we were kids my father used to play a game with us using an atlas. There was quizzes on capital cities and countries. Funny how those things stick in your mind.
Of course I did the same with my kids and now they are also quite knowledgeable on the capitals and countries too.
Of course you know what the capital of Chile is don't you?

That's no excuse! Smiley  It's just about European geography.  Nothing to do with where you've visited.  Out of the places I was asked to locate, Paris was the only one I'd been to.

It was Vancouver actually and we didn't fly over Europe so I didn't get to see the city or country labels Tongue
Anyway we flew at 30,000 feet and my eyesight isn't that good.

It is kind of though, I think. For example, a couple of the places the game mentioned when I played it I'd never even heard of before - but if I'd been to the countries they were in, I'd have probably remembered seeing road signs to them or other mentions of them (perhaps I'd even passed through them on the way to my destination).
