Plusnet have won another award from Broadband Genie Huh a firm  who earns money from getting people to sign up to ISPs. Wink Shocked

A bit like those wine companies that pay money to have pointless awards that mean absolutely sweet Fanny Adams - but lets them put little gold medal on their labels?

And they should get another award......for having the most awards

Then another for having the biggest award.

Then another for the TV advert,

Then another for.....( well almost anything you can think of) until they have a thousand awards so they can have an award for that as well.

Top services have little need to advertise of boast about awards, customer satisfaction and good reviews from users are the key.

I can only only hope that the award came on a soft paper certificate then at least it would have one use.

Yes, just like any other utility / supplier. You pay the bills for the expected service not because you like them in any way.

All the awards going wouldn't make me like them any more than I would like the gas or electric company.

To me the ISP's have just become another utility company so the awards are no more than pointless back patting.

Reminds me of the comedian Dave Gorman’s programme about the ‘Product of the Year’ awards in his Modern Life is Goodish series.

It seems companies pay to enter, and pay again if they win... The organisers make over £900,000 a year...

‘Here’ as in forum members is not quite the same thing as ‘here’ as in Plusnet customers though, is it?

Some of us have left for alternative providers. My current provider has excellent customer service, efficient and accurately billing, but strangely doesn’t seem to be constantly winning awards...

I'm here as a paying customer currently sitting on 82 days continuous sync with no need to contact customer service because it just bloody works!
