Re: And now Keith Floyd

I've always enjoyed his "work" and recall bumping into him sitting alone in a very quiet pub (The Trout at Tadpole Bridge) maybe 4 or 5 years ago and being surprised at how haggard he looked - he was probably only just over 60 at the time.  Sad

Shame, I always enjoyed his programmes. They were always interesting and he was quite an amusing chap too!

He was 65.  He certainly enjoyed his wine.  He is being serialised this week in the Daily Mail and wine drinking was a major part of his programmes.  Great character  Smiley

Re: And now Keith Floyd

Keith Floyd was a wonderful inspiration to those who needed a boost !
He lived his life to the full.
His motto was "eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die"
Sadly, his system succumbed  to it but not before he was mid 60
(His main illness was bowel cancer!)
I am sure he is now continuing his way of life up there and gaining a lot of
new friends.
