Ancestry

Thought it was about time I started researching so that info could be passed on to our daughter.
Got quite a lot of info from http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ and currently using 14 day free offer on www.ancestry.co.uk
Overall it's far from straight forward as one can easily end up following a false trail.
Currently seem to be blowing out around 1800 as one is using parish records which are sparse.
Overall good fun  Smiley

Re: Ancestry

We discovered that we were very nearly related to our next door neighbour of several years - his half brother is my 5th cousin. Small world!
