I had to force myself to watch that. I have absolutely no head for heights at all and it got my heart thumping.
For these guys it's probably just another day at the office but they have my admiration.

I like the bit about if a storm comes along there's no quick way down....
Oh yes there is Shocked...it's just that it's a one time journey.
They could however para-glide off the top at the end of the job.

Watching a programme about electricity line repairmen, in USA, was one that really made me shudder. One just hoped that the helicopter pilot wasn't having a bad day  Roll eyes

And in the case of the OP...a considerable reliance on the welders who welded the 'ladder rungs' to the pole in the final stage of the climb.
A bit of lack of fusion and it would all be over.

I did see this video a month or so back, then it was entitled how many men does it take to change a light bulb, and it didnt have the cridts rhen, cant think where I saw it but it was via PN
