Thats pretty incredible stuff isn't it. It reminds me of a program I saw a few years ago about 3 spitfires that were lost at one of the polar poles in a snow storm in WW2. They were forgotten about until someone somewhere found/remembered something and then suddenly an expedition team went looking for them with specialist radar tools and calculating snow drift over the years etc. I think if i remember correctly they found them something like 60 feet down below the surface and when they dug down they said the planes were perfectly preserved - not even a speck of rust! They had to dismantle them and send the parts up a shaft piece by piece to remove them.. no idea how they removed the airframe though  Huh
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!
