I wonder if this will be a "legal precedent"... ( at long last ) for an "Englsihman" (no racial intentions) to protect his home and family from violent, or even non-violent, burglars.....

Unlikely any further action will be taken as the other one ran away so no witnesses to what actually happened.....now if he had only been injured or died later from his injuries and made some statement he was attacked whilst walking backwards towards the front door then then there is every chance he would have been charged with manslaughter.....
There seems to be a lesson here if you end up in a similar position......remember the police and courts will take as much notice of the criminal despite his or her record than they take of your version of events.

It was important that Richard Osborn-Brooks was held to account, that was right and proper. Also right and proper was that verdict of lawfully killing.
The guy deserved a medal along with that acquittal.

unfortunately he has had to move from his present address as members of the ' travelling community' may be looking at taking revenge.
