Re: American Airlines Scam email

Yep, I got one a few days ago. Mine had an ABxxx fight number , made it a bit of a give-away!. Obviously they've corrected that faux-pas now. Smiley

Re: American Airlines Scam email

No snow in Essex yet.  Some flights have been cancelled due to expected bad weather. This could affect American Airlines as well - Got your thread back on topic for you again Shutter Grin Grin

Air passengers at London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted have been advised to contact their airline for more information.
A list of which flights will operate will be available on the Heathrow website from around 1800 GMT on Saturday.
Air travel had already been disrupted across the whole of Europe - flights from Rome and Amsterdam's Schiphol airports to UK destinations, and Saturday morning flights to Amsterdam from Birmingham, Manchester and Heathrow were cancelled or delayed.

Re: American Airlines Scam email

back on topic, again  Wink
I get quite a few 'undelivered parce'l emails requesting me to open a zip file and complete a form.
Coincidently this has once I when I expecting a parcel from the company the email was purporting to come from. I still just deleted the email as I knew the company would direct me to their website. Even so, I still enter the URL directly rather than click on a link.
But how many people don't have a clue about the dangers involved in unsolicited mail?

Re: American Airlines Scam email

Lol - I received an email in 2009 inviting me on an expenses paid trip to Honk Kong, staying at the Hilton to speak in a conference. So far as I could tell the email came from a guy with an Indian name based in Taiwan. I rightly ignored it as spam. Well I did until he phoned me a couple of times It was a genuine offer and yes I did go to HK.  Smiley
