Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

...from 6pm today.
Super Saver Delivery.
Quote
In July 2013 the firm put the minimum spend up to £10 but exempted books, DVDs and games, which were still eligible for free delivery regardless of their value. In January 2014 Amazon removed this exemption and introduced a £10 minimum order for all free deliveries. As of 6pm today, orders will need to total double that value to be eligible for free delivery.

I don't see it as a major issue as I can just wait till I want to buy goods totalling over the £20 minimum spend.

Re: Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

Some of their small orders will have to be looked at to see if it is worth buying from them any more. Taking delivery into account it could be cheaper overall to buy elsewhere.

Re: Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

That was why I used them, guess not any more, I could wait 3-4 days for delivery unless I really needed it then 24hr.  Guess I will stop checking there first and go straight to a google search.
Same thing happened with Ebuyer, they started charging Highland & Island £15 deliveries to Inverness for anything, Aria/Kustom pc's have got my trade ever since.

Re: Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

I've only ever used Amazon once, to buy GTA5 for PC, not really that desperate to use 'em again considering I've done without them perfectly well for the past 14 years... Grin

Re: Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

I wonder what the Amazon Marketplace vendors will do as that used to be a marginally more expensive option if you got over the £10
Just checked and a single paperback hits you for about £2.70 postage so there are going to be many other options

Re: Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

Cheers.
I just tested it out adding an item for £19.99 then the first in the list having entered £0.01 in your link which was 15p. Delivery went from £6.01 to zero.
Great tool, thanks.

Re: Amazon up min spend for free delivery...

I just tested it and it doesn't work - most of the links are to a much higher price than it claims
