Amazon Black Friday deal at 09:30 29/11/13 - Billion BiPAC 7800N

I see in the Amazon 'Black Friday' deals that the
"Billion BiPAC 7800N Dual WAN ADSL2+/Broadband Wireless-N Gigabit Firewall Modem Router"
is coming up at 09:30 this morning,  if anyone is interested.

I spotted that last night.  Depending on what it drops to I may get one or two.  I've had one on my home connection for a couple of years and can't fault it at all.

I know absolutely nothing about routers - is that one significantly better than the standard PN one?

I think I paid around £110 for it a couple of years ago.  I haven't regretted it at all.
i would say it is much better than the Plusnet supplied one.  It is really in a different class, with the Plusnet one worth ~£40 and the Billion ~£125.

In my case the Plusnet one does everything I want albeit a bit inefficiently at times - even the wireless signal isn't a problem

Hmmm ..
I'm reasonably happy with the Plusnet one, but the missus keeps complaining about it .. maybe this could be £90 well spent ..

I think I've decided against getting another one.  Where I am thinking of it for, as with OJ the Plusnet one is working ok.  Plus I have my eye on a 42" TV coming up shortly! I might struggle to get both past SWMBO!  Cheesy

i paid full price for the 7800dx a few months ago and can say that so far its been pretty brilliant, but i wouldn't go for the newer generation stuff unless your happy with the backwards way you have to enter all the commands
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you
