Ahhh!!

I am happy to report that yesterday (1st November) Mrs P and I celebrated our fortieth wedding anniversary.(Ruby) In the case of Mrs P's many health problems; happily survived to see it.
I take the slightly unusual step of mentioning it here as nobody else family included remembered it.
Not bad for a second marriage that few thought would get past the first year.

Re: Ahhh!!

@dvorak, well we tried, found a nice restaurant, upset the staff who had to arrange a table to accommodate Mrs P's wheelchair. Then sent back my steak (not something I eat a lot these days) as un-cuttable and useful only to attach to the soles of my shoes, Mrs P only picked at her extremely fatty lamb, but declined to let me complain as I had caused enough problems already, this did not endear us to the chef. But we were not charged for our sweets, and only paid for our starters and coffee's.
I think they were quite pleased to see us go.
But we chuckled about it afterwards.

Re: Ahhh!!

Congratulations to you both. Quite a milestone in this throwaway society, where relationships are included in the throwaway.
Wonderful that you have some fond memories of your celebration. Worth narrating in later years. Smiley

Re: Ahhh!!

Yes, well done.
Sorry to hear about the meal, personally I never order Steak when eating out, previous experience has taught me that few restaurants seem to know how to cook Steak or else use poor quality meat.
I Have no problem cooking steak at home and there is nothing more annoying than paying for food which you could cook much better yourself.
