Agnetha Faltskog 'A'

Just listened to her latest album 'A' - her first album for 9 years.
Great songs, with excellent orchestration and well delivered.
Really like 'When You Really Loved Someone', 'The One Who Loves You Now' and the haunting 'Bubble'.
This is the the first album I've listened all the way through on the first playing for some time.

Re: Agnetha Faltskog 'A'

I really enjoyed the recent BBC Programme on June 11th entitled  Agnetha: Abba and After
Excellent programme, and many memories. It was the music of my generation.
(Including meeting them at Thames TV in their early career after "Waterloo")
It was so good, I've kept a copy on my iMac
The music, ABBA the group.

Ditto to above. I have all of Abba's CD's plus all their solo ones too. Great talented singers and writers.

Re: Agnetha Faltskog 'A'

Yes, excellent album.
Was quite an ABBA fan in their heyday. A lot of their recorded material owed much to careful and precise work (over dubbing and tweaking rhythms) at the sound mixing desk, some of it even ABBA themselves couldn't reproduce on stage exactly, but then how many recording stars can? But take nothing away from them their performances are as popular today as they were then...well, perhaps that is a bit of an exaggeration.
Favourite ABBA track..."One Of Us" came at a rather poignant time in my life.
Most disliked track..."Eagle"
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

@Petlew - Love Eagle! However one of the best tracks they ever did is called "I Wonder (Departure)" + of course "Thanks For The Music" Smiley
