Advice needs rephrasing.

An article from our local newspaper (my bold)
Quote
5. It’s important that you keep your car clean throughout the winter as the salt in grit can cause external damage such as corrosion to any exposed suspension parts. Ensure that you thoroughly wash the underneath of your car when you can to stop salt from settling.
6. Don’t forget to wash/rinse alloy wheels too; the smallest scratch can quickly become a large rust patch.

Re: Advice needs rephrasing.

Yeah..... bung it through a car wash, when the rear number plate is (almost) unreadable, before you get stopped by mr plod ....
Can`t imagine many , if any, will bother washing "under" the car... except those petrol heads who think it is "manly" to use the jetwash.... certainly isn`t cheaper than the auto car wash... and locally, there is a place where I "could" go to get it hand washed for £1.99  Cheesy

Re: Advice needs rephrasing.

Some auto car washing machines gave you an option to have the underneath washed but I've not seen one of these for a long time.
We have an excellent hand car wash run by some eastern Europeans. I wonder what they would say if I asked them to wash underneath the motor Wink

Why stop at the underneath. Do the whole lot in one go....
