A (non) religious joke

Knock on the door.....
There was a knock on the door this morning.
I opened it to find a young man standing there who said:
"Hello, Sir, I'm a Jehovah's Witness."
I said "Come in and sit down."
I offered him coffee and asked, "What do you want to talk about?"

He said, "[Censored] if I know, I've never got this far before." Grin Grin Grin

Re: A (non) religious joke

Invite them in and sit them down. Apologise for the dark room as you light the black candles... then add. "...now what did you want to talk about?"
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.
WTF

Re: A (non) religious joke

A Spanish former girl friend answered the door to them once and pretended she didn't speak English.  Next day they returned with a Spanish speaker.
Still didn't get in, of course  Wink

Re: A (non) religious joke

on the rare occasion they doorstep me I offer them some registration forms for becoming a blood or organ donor, that generally makes them scarper without any undue sermonising, failing that I let the kids answer the door and lecture them about civil rights .......tends to end up in the same result they don't come back until the next intake of Muppets moves into the local kingdom hall (although strangely it seems to get flooded frequently so there never around for that long)
I used to entertain them years ago but the younger ones are always far to preachy for me to bother anymore
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Re: A (non) religious joke

Don`t get too up tight..... it was a "joke"... not a reality scene.....  Cheesy
Only had one visit in 50 odd years .... and think I remembered me saying..... " not today thank you"... and closing the door straight away....
Usually it is two geezers... 20 to 30 yrs old... in dark suits, with tie,... and book under one arm.... ( dead giveaway, that !)... can`t remember seeing any 20 to 30yr old ladies doing the rounds though !...
Anyone else seen young lady Jehovah`s Witnesses ?

Re: A (non) religious joke

There is a couple of little old ladies that come around once a year (around July / August time) for the past 5 - 6 years we've been living here
The kids always torment(s) talks to them when they are outside playing, (then the 2 little old ladies forgets that they have not knocked the door & goes next door Cheesy
