A Clean Install

i have just done, what can only be described as,...... " the cleanest of clean" installs of Linux Mint 17.2  ...... guaranteed to be clean of virus.... from a USB stick  Smiley

I forgot to check the pockets of my trousers before putting them in for a 30 minute wash cycle. ! ...  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
Heard something rattling around during the cycle.... and then realised what it was ! ! ! !>....  Shocked
when the cycle finished.... (after a 1200 rpm spin).... I shook the usb stick, and some moisture came out.... so I left it in a nice warm place for 24 hours... plugged into the Laptop.... and changed the boot order..... Hey Presto..... the cleanest install of LInux Mint17.2 ever ! ! !  Cheesy Cheesy

Re: A Clean Install

In 2004 I engaged in a bit of money laundering.
I washed a pair of jeans with my wallet in one pocket containing 1500 Canadian dollars in various denominations.
They dried out nicely when laid out on the bed.

Re: A Clean Install

On the topic of 'laundering' money.  Notes that are washed with laundry powder can come up as 'fakes' when using one of those disclosing pens so often used in small shops. Shocked

Canadian notes are plastic these days, won't be long before ours are too aswell... Grin
But that said, it is a bit daft to put your wallet in the washer... Grin

Re: A Clean Install

My 'washer' often helps herself to my wallet. "What's hers is hers, and what's mine is ours" -if she lets me have any.  Embarrassed

Re: A Clean Install

Apparently if you have dirty pictures on your PC (not suggesting that any of the Forum members do) they can be cleaned by washing your disk drive in a White Cottons cycle followed by a 1800 RPM spin.  Don't forget to use conditioner.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.
