......and the head teacher needs her actions looked into.  The boy appears to have done nothing wrong.

Re: 7 year old accused of Racism

Quite ludicrous. The whole racism thing has got completely out of control.
I have a Pakistani friend who often teases me. It's quite OK for him to call me a "Brit", but if I were to call him a "Paki" I could be reported for racism.
For some reason the abbreviation is considered derogatory..................

Re: 7 year old accused of Racism

It`s got so out of hand now that before long you won`t even be allowed to say the word black in any context ie "the little black dress" will henceforth be known as the "little opposite of white dress" Roll eyes

Re: 7 year old accused of Racism

I Guess they need to set up a government committee to rewrite the Dictionary as a number of words will no longer be in use.

Re: 7 year old accused of Racism

The school is operating within the context of wider society.
Quote
"The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) define a racial incident as:
"Any incident in which it appears to the reporting or investigating officer that the complaint involves an element of racial motivation;  or any incident which includes an allegation of racial motivation made by any person."

I thought this was a definition in law rather than ACPO's own definition.
So even if the "victim" is not offended any busybody can be offended on their behalf and a racial incident must be recorded.
I really don't understand the special case of racially motivated crime. A crime is a crime and should be punished as such. Why is a crime motivated by someone's race more abhorrent than one motivated by someone's age or disability for example?

Re: 7 year old accused of Racism

At least the local MP appears to have sense by saying ‘It seems the matter has been taken out of all proportion and common sense seems to have gone completely out of the window.’
Can’t help wondering why the writer of this piece thought I needed to know the type of accommodation that the mother lived in and what its relevance to the topic was. Any ideas? Was it just the Daily Mail being the Daily Mail?
