24x7 customer support

I was reading this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7016358.stm  on the BBC News website and it remind me a lot Plusnet CSC. I remembered the number of times I arrived early to do some maintenance and I encountered with the same picture described in the article.
The people at CSC do an excellent job and working overnight it not pleasant. Thanks for being there.
Sergio.

Re: 24x7 customer support

I could never do night shifts.  Would mess with my (somewhat lacking) sleep pattern.

Yeah, you get a higher class of drunken abuse at night. Wink

heh i hope not!
The main thing that has always attracted me to plusnet is the fact that someone is there anytime to help and the choice of contact options are flexible and aplenty.
Alot of peope don't like talking on the phone, so the ticket system is their best way, and vice versa

Nightshifts can take upto 10 years off your life expectancy apparently!  Not only that but it messes with your body clock so much that you feel as though you have permanent jetlag.
However the best feeling ever is getting into a warm bed after a 12 hour night shift during winter when you have been on patrol all night....bliss.

Re: 24x7 customer support

I'd argue the opposite to be honest with you.  You're more likely to be sleeping the hours that they are awake and given that, you're even more likely to get interrupted sleep pattersn, which again, isn't good for your health.

Yup i agree with on some points
Im lucky at the moment my kids go to nursery with the wife who is the Deputy manager, so i could come home get them off to nursery, sleep be there for tea and bedtime - sleep abit more then work overnight
No problem.
