Re: 103 Biggest Engineering Fails

You may laugh but a month ago my brother in law walked out of the door in his hotel bedroom onto the balcony ...... that wasn't there.
One broken back later he's slowly recovering.

Re: 103 Biggest Engineering Fails

18 & 81 look deliberate to allow stuff to be lifted up by a forklift, see this occasionally in older building designs.
There is normally plenty of warning barriers / chains & signs on the internal side of the door.

Some of the low level cash point machines will probably be for disabled use.

Re: 103 Biggest Engineering Fails

He's recovering well - the paramedics tried to get him to sit up after the accident though ......
It happened over in Southern Ireland - I suspect alcohol may also have contributed.

Re: 103 Biggest Engineering Fails

The existence of a balcony might have helped.

Re: 103 Biggest Engineering Fails

a lot of them seem to be old warehouse conversions or doors that have been closed off and the stairs not removed.....
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you
