new customer xbox set up questions!

hi all.
im new to plusnet and waiting for my connection date. im pretty good with computers and have set up a few internet connections but am keen to get gaming asap and just wonder if there are any tips i should know in advance that will help speed up getting the 360 connected asap with plusnet. have set up previously with bt, virgin and tiscali and everytime there is at least 1 call to the support team, just trying to avoid it this time!

I didn't have any problems myself. Worked fine when I used the Thomson router and working fine now that I am using a Netgear. Just make sure Upnp is turned on and it should be ok just to plug it in.

thanks for the reply. is it a thompson one that i'll recieve from plusnet? i opted for the wiresless free one. used a thompson before with tiscali too so should be on familiar ground whats the connection like for 360 with plusnet?

Plusnet send a Thompson one. Plusnet priorotise gaming on their networks so I usually have excellent connection when gaming.
