can wrong ip profile cause gaming lag?

Latency is down to the quality of the routing from your router to the game server.  But gaming and shared connections is another matter if on a slow connection.  Then if someone is online in your house at the same time, they will trigger micro bursts of latency if watching streams/opening websites/refreshing those websites.

on fibre m8 ping 15 download 76meg upload 18 meg.on adsl never had lag now on 80/20 games lag

Then run some ping traces to the servers you use and see if you get any packet loss or excessive latency jumps

Tracert won't really help much
The Ping command is ping then the IP address
To copy the result right click on the Cmd window and select "Select All" then click enter on the keyboard and it will save the result on the clip board and you can then past it into your post
Note that copying the Tracert result is the same

Having the wrong IP profile can cause the Plusnet traffic management to not work as intended.
What games are you having trouble with? I see plenty of people complaining about lag compensation, especially people with low latency connections.

Different router? I had issues with the technicolor where sometimes it would get in a state and need a ppp drop/ reconnect to sort its self.
Haven't had any problems since I got rid.

fps shooter games like gears of war.if i get  host which is 70% of the time everyone lags like crazy.there shots dont register.ive tried everything at my end so only thing i can think of is wrong ip profile
