beta stress test weekend 10th-13th LARGE client

A certain MMO is having a stress test at the weekend, but weighs in at 30 GB at least, so PN expect extra load, thank what ever deity you believe in for unlimited

I wish, 3.5mbit connection

Started it downloading at 12pm yesterday and has been almost non stop since, with 20 gig on the initial install and a further 5gig patch

It's doing interesting things to your base latency.  What router do you use?

@Kelly TG582n, I was expecting the same graph as I would with Steam, but looks like the patcher is not p2p.  Plus I had it setup to max out my download speed to get it as quick as possible, as reports of players getting corrupt downloads and having to retry, with a 30gig install, that is time consuming.
I will do a wireshark once its live, but so far it is in gold traffic at least during patching so not an issue.  But the wireshark won't be 100% as the Euro servers aren't up yet, we will be on the US server during the stress test.  Suppose to be one in US and one in Europe from what I've read of the faq's

Another stress test this weekend, large ish patch[5 gig so far] so not one to leave to last minute unless you are lucky and have fibre

I noticed interesting spikes in the download speed of this too, (1.68mb/s down to 18kb/s) but since I patched as soon as I read the email - not a issue!
But if you did get an invite, downloading/patching on the Wednesday is the best thing to do!
Don't wait until 5pm on Friday!
Also check your account details out before 5pm too!
